Thank you for choosing Winnie & Ruth. The following policies are designed to create a smooth experience for every guest while protecting the time, care, and resources dedicated to each appointment.

By booking an appointment, purchasing products, or receiving services, you agree to the policies outlined below.

Appointment Requests & Confirmation

All appointments are considered requests until confirmed.

Winnie & Ruth reserves the right to modify, reschedule, decline, or cancel appointment requests when necessary.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that contact information is accurate and up to date.

Card on File Requirement

A valid credit or debit card may be required to reserve appointments.

Cards on file are securely stored and processed through our booking provider.

The card on file may be charged in accordance with the cancellation, late cancellation, no-show, or other applicable policies outlined below.

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.

Appointments canceled more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be canceled without charge.

Appointments canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time may be charged up to 50% of the scheduled service value.

No-Show Policy

Clients who fail to arrive for an appointment without notice may be charged up to 95% of the scheduled service value.

Repeated no-shows may result in:

  • Prepayment requirements

  • Loss of online booking privileges

  • Refusal of future appointments

Late Arrival Policy

Late arrivals may result in a shortened service to avoid impacting subsequent appointments.

Appointments shortened due to late arrival will be charged at the originally scheduled service price.

Clients arriving excessively late may be considered a missed appointment and subject to applicable cancellation fees.

Consultation & Health Disclosure

For your safety, accurate health information must be provided prior to treatment.

Clients are responsible for disclosing:

  • Allergies

  • Medical conditions

  • Pregnancy

  • Prescription medications

  • Recent cosmetic procedures

  • Skin sensitivities

  • Any other information that may affect treatment safety

Failure to disclose relevant information may require modification, postponement, or cancellation of services.

Treatment Eligibility

Certain treatments may not be appropriate for every individual.

Winnie & Ruth reserves the right to:

  • Refuse service

  • Modify treatment plans

  • Recommend alternative services

  • Reschedule appointments when contraindications are present

These decisions are made in the interest of client safety and treatment effectiveness.

Results Disclaimer

Every person’s skin, hair growth cycle, lifestyle, and health history are unique.

While treatments are performed using professional standards and products, individual results cannot be guaranteed.

Treatment outcomes may vary from person to person.

Retail Products

Product recommendations are based on professional experience and information provided during consultation.

Clients are responsible for reviewing ingredient information and determining suitability for personal use.

Individual results may vary.

Retail Returns & Exchanges

Retail products may be eligible for return or exchange in cases including:

  • Manufacturer packaging defects

  • Product malfunction

  • Documented sensitivity or adverse reaction

Requests for returns or exchanges should be made within a reasonable timeframe after purchase.

Returns, exchanges, and store credits are granted at the discretion of Winnie & Ruth.

Gift cards are non-refundable and may not be redeemed for cash except where required by law.

Gift Certificates & Promotional Offers

Gift certificates and promotional offers may be subject to expiration dates, limitations, blackout periods, or other restrictions where permitted by law.

Promotions cannot be combined unless expressly stated.

Promotional offers have no cash value.

Right to Refuse Service

Winnie & Ruth is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.

Service may be refused, terminated, or rescheduled due to:

  • Inappropriate conduct

  • Harassment

  • Threatening behavior

  • Intoxication

  • Failure to follow professional instructions

  • Health or safety concerns

No refunds will be provided for appointments terminated due to client misconduct.

Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings during appointments.

Winnie & Ruth is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Website, Pricing & Service Changes

Services, pricing, treatment offerings, promotions, policies, and product availability may change at any time without prior notice.

Pricing in effect at the time of booking will generally be honored unless a booking error has occurred.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Winnie & Ruth shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from services, products, appointments, scheduling issues, website use, or related interactions.

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim.
